weight loss or weight gain in any individual , fat storage or breakdown are
strictly regulated by certain hormones in the body , hormones regulates energy
expenditure or number of calories your body burns on a regular basis , for
these reasons hormones plays a major role in weight loss or weight gain or fat
accumulations at any particular part of body
There
are certain hormones that are responsible for influencing appetite . metabolism
and body fat distribution like Leptin ,Insulin , Oestrogens ,Androgens
,Cortisol (Steroid Hormone) and other growth hormones .
Insulin is one of the most important hormones
when it comes to weight loss and weight gain. Made by the pancreas, insulin is
responsible for storing blood sugar, or utilizing it, depending upon your
body’s needs of the moment. After you eat a large meal, a substantial amount of
insulin releases itself into the bloodstream. It also enters the bloodstream as
needed throughout the day, ensuring that blood sugar levels remain stable.
Cortisol a glucocorticoid (Steroid Hormone)
that plays an important role in maintaining stress in your body, however
chronically elevated cortisol levels may lead to weight gain
The pituitary gland in our brain produces growth hormone, which influences
a person's height and helps build bone and muscle. Growth hormone also affects
metabolism (the rate at which we burn kilojoules for energy). Researchers have
found that growth hormone levels in people who are obese are lower than in
people of normal weight
